Live Action: The Adventure Zone Fan Film is live action passion project about the DnD podcast “The Adventure Zone” created by the McElroy family and directed by local filmmaker Curtis McOsker. VFX and Compositing done soley in After Effects.
My role in regards to this production were as a Compositor, and VFX Artist.
As a Compositor, my job included placing together supplied footage and separate captured images in a convincing appearance. Then, mostly using AE Mocha’s tracking software, I would track these spliced together elements and had them follow the camera.
As a VFX Artist I created different types of particle effects for the varying weapons as well as designed an exaggerated “evil-eye” effect.
